General Responsibilities:
- Risk Consulting: Provides analysis and mitigation of risk.
- Loss Prevention through county Safety Program, Safety Committee and control services.
- Workers Compensation claims management.
- Insurance Management: Protects the county's financial integrity through a combination of commercial and self insurance. Recommends the use and/or appointment of consultants and/or brokers to assist and advise in the consideration of whether to purchase insurance in areas including fire, fidelity bonds, fringe benefits, worker's compensation, property, boiler, and other such coverage.
